Addie's Digits

Addie loves to talk on her "phone", i.e., she likes to babble into a remote control pretending it is a phone and pace around the house "talking". This behavior is bizarre if interesting. Send her your phone number. Maybe she'll call you sometime.

Autumnal Addie (and some leftover beach pics)

We've had some camera "issues" recently so haven't posted many pics of Addie in awhile. However, here are a few from the last couple months to show that she's still growing.

I'm assuming every kid does this at least once. This is a first for Addie, who cleaned out the contents all by herself. Maybe she was just inspecting her work.

First Spaghetti

Addie had her first taste of spaghetti for lunch. She liked it despite my expectations. It was a mess, but not a huge sloppy one, thank goodness. I did learn that if I plan to feed her spaghetti, I need to give it to her at the end of the meal so I don't have to clean everything, including her, before the rest of her meal. Her shirt stayed white, but her face is still a little pink from the sauce. Click HERE for more photos.

Napping Hard

Recently we've had a tough time getting Addie to fall asleep without us holding her or rocking her. She's been doing better over the past few days, but she still cries for a short while before finally falling asleep. This morning she only cried for about 3 minutes before she was out, but yesterday she cried for closer to 15 minutes and, as is typical of her, had crawled to the corner of the crib closest to the door. What was not typical is that when I went to check on her I found her face-down on top of her legs fast asleep. I guess she was so tired she couldn't even muster the energy to roll over. Poor thing! I of course took advantage of the photo op before helping her into a more comfortable position.

Breakfast

Addie has been less and less enthusiastic about her rice cereal and more and more enthusiastic about green beans, cottage cheese, and chicken sausage.
